YUQI of girl group i-dle has announced that she will hold several solo fan concerts across China throughout the remainder of 2026.

Titled 2026 YUQI Fan-Con ‘27’ – in reference to her age – the series will take YUQI to the cities of Guangzhou, Chengdu, Beijing, and Shanghai. No dates have been listed at present, but official social media posts state that information is coming soon via Tencent Music’s TMElive.

YUQI was born in Beijing, moving to Korea as a teenager to pursue a career in K-pop, and initially gained popularity in her home country as a member of i-dle. She debuted with i-dle in 2018 with I Am, and the group has since produced numerous hits including “Queencard,” “TOMBOY” and “Nxde.” Shortly afterwards, she also became a permanent cast member of the variety show Keep Running, the Chinese version of South Korea’s Running Man, which pushed YUQI into the domestic mainstream as a public figure.

In 2024, following several digital singles, YUQI made her official solo debut with the mini album YUQ1 and the English-language title track “FREAK.” The song made history, becoming the first by a K-pop act to spend 100 consecutive weeks on the Tencent Music Korean Chart – the largest music platform in China. A year later, her solo digital single “Radio (Dum-Dum)” followed suit, spending 52 weeks among the top 10 on the same chart. Off the back of that success, she was named one of the “Women of the Year in Music 2026” by the platform.

With this consistent prominence in China, especially within the past year, it makes sense that YUQI would focus her solo efforts in the country. This fan-con series will be her first in China, with events in four separate cities, marking a new chapter in her career.

At the same time, i-dle’s leader SOYEON is pursuing solo music in Korea. SOYEON’s first full album What a Wonderful Life, consisting of eight songs, was released on September 7, 2026, and she recently concluded her music show promotions. It seems that following the finale of the group’s World Tour [Syncopation] in August, the members are taking the rest of 2026 to focus on their solo pursuits.
