HyunJin Launches Independent Label Triangle ENM, Adopts CEO Alias “Rachel Kim”

In a move that’s equal parts surreal and symbolic, HyunJin of LOONA and Loossemble has officially launched her own company, Triangle ENM.

The announcement first came quietly on June 5 through the fan messaging app fromm, where HyunJin revealed she would be managing her own activities moving forward. Today, she makes it official by opening an Instagram account for the newly established label and adopting the name “Rachel Kim” as her professional alias. The account bio reads: “Believe in your talent. Dare to chase your dreams.”

Fans have long joked about “CEO HyunJin” as a meme, especially following the turbulent history of LOONA’s management. But with Triangle ENM, the punchline has turned into a commendable new reality.

Behind the light-hearted fanfare, though, this announcement lands at a crossroads. Judging from messages exchanged on fromm by HyunJin and fellow Loossemble member Go Won, it appears that plans for Loossemble’s future as a full group may have stalled. The two alluded to a nearly finalised deal that unexpectedly collapsed, with indications that no company was willing to take on the entire group as a unit. In that context, Triangle ENM could represent not just a solo step forward for HyunJin, but potentially the only viable path for continuing Loossemble’s activities should future collaborations be possible under independent terms.

It’s unclear what this move means for Loossemble’s future as a group, or whether Triangle ENM will operate solely as HyunJin’s personal management agency or evolve into something larger, potentially housing future Loossemble releases or collaborations. The hope among fans is that HyunJin will be able to secure funding and continue building momentum for the members on her own terms.

At a time when more idols are carving out independent paths post-contract, HyunJin’s move reflects a growing wave of self-determination in K-pop that isn’t waiting for permission. From former company founders like Jay Park to more recent idol-led ventures such as HIGHLIGHT’s Around Us and EXO’s Baekhyun launching INB100, the rise of the artist-CEO is no longer an outlier. HyunJin joins this evolving landscape, bringing with her a loyal fanbase and hard-earned experience.

Whether Rachel Kim becomes a force behind the scenes or stays front and centre as an artist-CEO hybrid, one thing’s certain: she’s betting on herself.
