HYBE’s Weverse Con Festival Is Coming to India for the First Time

by Hasan Beyaz

HYBE is taking its flagship Weverse Con Festival beyond Korea for the first time, with Weverse Con Festival India set to take place in New Delhi on March 27–28, 2027.

The two-day festival will bring together global, K-pop, and Indian artists, combining live performances with fan-focused experiences, interactive activations and cultural programming. The event marks a significant expansion of HYBE’s global festival strategy, bringing its established live-event format to one of the world’s fastest-growing music markets.

Rather than focusing solely on performances, Weverse Con Festival India will incorporate opportunities for fans to interact with artists and fellow attendees, alongside brand activations and other immersive experiences. Weverse, HYBE’s global superfan platform, will also partner on the event, integrating its online services into the physical festival experience to further connect artists and fans.

“Weverse Con Festival India marks a new chapter in our ‘multi-home, multi-genre’ strategy and reflects our commitment to India as a key market in HYBE’s global growth,” said Jason Jaesang Lee, CEO of HYBE. “By bringing HYBE’s global capabilities together with India’s creativity, we aim to create a festival that expands our ecosystem through experiences that resonate with local audiences.”

The festival arrives as HYBE continues to establish a deeper presence in India. HYBE INDIA, the company’s strategic global office based in Mumbai, has been conducting nationwide auditions since earlier this year as it searches for Indian talent for a next-generation global girl group.

The move also reflects HYBE’s wider “multi-home, multi-genre” strategy, which aims to develop locally rooted entertainment opportunities that can reach audiences internationally. With India becoming increasingly important within the global music landscape, the festival provides HYBE

with an opportunity to bring its artists, platform and live-event infrastructure directly to the market while incorporating local talent and culture.

Weverse Con Festival India represents more than an international expansion of an existing festival. It is the first time HYBE has taken the Weverse Con Festival format outside Korea, signalling the growing importance of India within the company's global strategy.

The decision also puts HYBE directly into India's increasingly competitive live music market, where international K-pop acts are attracting larger audiences and local artists are gaining greater global visibility. Bringing Indian and international artists together under the Weverse Con banner could give HYBE a new route into the country's music ecosystem while creating a physical extension of Weverse's fan platform.

With the lineup still under wraps, the biggest question now is which HYBE artists – and which Indian and international acts – will join the inaugural edition.

Tickets will be available exclusively through BookMyShow, with further details on ticket sales and the festival’s lineup to be announced at a later date.
