HYBE has officially landed in India. The K-pop powerhouse has opened HYBE India Entertainment Private Limited in Mumbai, marking its fifth international office after Japan, the U.S., Latin America, and China.

Mumbai isn’t just India’s financial hub—it’s also the beating heart of its entertainment scene, home to Bollywood and a growing music industry hungry for fresh sounds. HYBE plans to tap into that energy, scouting local talent and connecting it to the wider global stage. The company frames this move under its “multi-home, multi-genre” strategy, which aims to respect local culture while building projects with international reach.

The tagline is simple but telling: “Where voices of India become global stories.” The idea is to discover and nurture Indian artists and bring them to audiences around the world. With India’s music streaming market clocking in at roughly 185 million users—the second-largest globally—it’s easy to see why HYBE is turning its attention here. K-pop’s rising popularity only sweetens the deal.

HYBE India will host tailored training programs and auditions, while supporting regional activities of HYBE Music Group artists. The office is designed to be more than a local branch; it’s meant to bridge India’s music scene with global audiences, drawing on HYBE’s experience in production, management, and marketing.

It’s a big step for HYBE and a clear signal: India isn’t just a side market. The country’s artists and audiences are about to play a much larger role in the K-pop story.
