Korean singer-songwriter Gaho is heading to Europe this spring for eight shows across seven cities, performing live with his band KAVE. The tour runs through April, opening in Lausanne and closing in London.
If the name doesn't immediately ring a bell, the music probably will. Gaho wrote and performed "Start Over" – the main theme from Itaewon Class, the 2020 drama that became one of the most-watched Korean series of the pandemic era. The song hit number one on the Gaon Digital Chart and won Best OST at that year's MAMAs. It's the kind of track that attaches itself to a specific moment in people's lives, which is a strange kind of pressure to carry into everything that comes after.
What Gaho has done since is worth paying attention to. He's built a body of work across original releases and OST contributions; Fireworks, his 2021 album, further drama credits including Stranger and Start-Up, and more recently a 2025 collaboration with Leroy Sanchez on "HEY MAMA" and the OST "Go On" for Burn to Win. The throughline is a voice that doesn't need much production scaffolding around it to land.
KAVE, the band he tours with, brings a different texture to that, built around what they describe as freedom of expression over genre convention. Their 2024 EP Flight of Ideas is a reasonable place to start if you want a sense of what the live show might feel like before you're in the room for it.
The routing offers an intriguing blend of European cities, hitting Lausanne, Warsaw, Berlin, Cologne, Paris, Amsterdam and London – a mix of mid-capacity and club venues suggests this is positioned as a band tour.
The tour shaping up to be one of the more unusual offerings to European audiences this year – tickets are on general sale now.
