Kang Daniel is one of the most loved K-pop artists of the current times. He was on a 15-month hiatus following legal issues with his former label KONNECT Entertainment. He recently joined the label ARA and has finally come back with new music to greet his fans. Kang Daniel’s fifth overall EP (and first with his new label) is titled ACT. This EP was released on September 23, 2024 and contained six songs.

“Paranoia” is one of those songs that leave a lasting impression upon the listeners right from its first beat. The EP Yellow is also a different style for Kang Daniel as compared to his other music releases. Kang Daniel drove it straight home with his song “Antidote.” The singer chose a theme of vulnerability, anxiety and helplessness, and the music video reflects the feeling of suffocation and frustration presented in the choreography.

One would think that “Who U Are” would be a song about self-identity and self-awareness and they would be absolutely wrong. “Who U Are” is a smooth and sultry number about the protagonist urging his partner to reveal their true identity. The song features a short segue to rap and trap as it leads to a stunning conclusion.

 

5. “2U”

If you were waiting for the bubbly and sweet Kang Daniel to come through then your search ends here. Kang Daniel croons a buttery soft romance number “2U” and exudes a charming personality throughout. The singer channels his inner romantic as he presents this wonderful dance number.
