FIFTY FIFTY takes listeners on a journey to a magical fairyland with their music video for "SOS"

From the moment I started watching the music video for FIFTY FIFTY's latest title track, "SOS" from their second album, Love Tune, I felt whisked away to a whimsical fairyland filled with mythical creatures and enchanting magic. It’s reminiscent of the bedtime stories mothers and grandmothers share with children, designed to spark imagination and inspire storytelling.

 

The members look stunning and ethereal, like celestial beings, complemented by their sugary vocals that match their enchanting appearance. While FIFTY FIFTY's "SOS" is delightfully sweet and enjoyable, it often feels lifeless and lacking depth. However, "SOS" doesn’t evolve beyond being merely pleasant; it remains firmly in the realm of likeability.

To truly resonate as a pop favorite among fans, "SOS" needed to elevate its energy and creativity, but unfortunately, it stays within the confines of a standard sugary pop template. "Starry Night" served as a promising introduction to the newly formed FIFTY FIFTY, and "SOS" had the potential to be a significant step in reintroducing fans to their evolving discography and sound. Regrettably, viewers remain trapped in the initial fantasy realm presented, without any progression beyond that enchanting start.
