Today’s pick, “Johnny,” features sparse-but-effective indie R&B instrumentals that carve out plenty of space for PRIMARY’s lead vocal and their accompanying harmonies. The e-piano work is tasteful, the organ fills out the chorus perfectly, and when the song drops into a rap section, things really kick up a notch in a fun way.
