Acoustic pop trio Standing Egg (스탠딩 에그) has quietly but steadily built a dedicated online fan base through near-relentless releases. Fans endearingly call them “the government employees of indie music” because of their prolific output. Even with this name, fans also know that quantity never outpaces the quality of their music.

And it’ll be stuck in your head for days. The band is the favorite of commoners and idols alike. Revered crooner Lim Young-woong even called Standing Egg his favorite on national TV.
