Daily Non-K-Pop Spotlight: “Dreamcatcher” by We Are The Night

We Are The Night have a knack for making great music that hits the sweet spot between relaxing and motivational. We’ve already covered their tracks “Tiramisu Cake” and “Like The Movie,” and we’re happy to bring you yet another great track from these guys.

 

“Dreamcatcher” leans a lot further into synthpop, as the quiet, shuffling beat is accompanied by plucky synths and a groovy bassline. The track is much more ethereal than the other tracks we’ve covered and holds a very floaty tone throughout. Oddly enough though, this doesn’t detract from the motion of the track, as there is still plenty of movement to be found in these three-and-a-half minutes. “Dreamcatcher” is the perfect name for this sort of feeling, as the track is much more motivated and action-oriented than a mere dream. No, this is something that enjoys the spacey sensations of a dream, but is trying to take it for itself. This is a dream chaser, dream tracker—a “Dreamcatcher.”
