Concept Photos of the Day: IU Keeps Winning

A few months ago, we were introduced to the newest phase of IU’s journey, and boy did these photos surprise a lot of people! For her latest mini-album, The Winning, the solo star appeared with blonde hair for the first time in years, but even more platinum-light than ever before. The concept photos for the album depict IU in several different scenarios, but they all exude the same thing: confidence.

 

IU has been on top of her game for years now, and this latest album is the next step in her accepting that level of influence and perhaps forgiving herself of some of her ineptitude in that role. The album (and the photos) pay homage to several generations of K-pop stars of the past, present, and future, and IU has really taken this chance to show to the world that she intends to keep on winning.
