Comeback Corner

HYO, TWS, YUNA & More

Read on for our picks of the week.

In between the BTS of it all, this week’s K-pop releases have run the gamut from sugary sweet pop anthems to high-energy dance anthems. Somewhere in the middle, TWS and 24kGoldn make a case for the unlikely collab as its own art form.

HYO - “MOVEURBODY”

You’ve got to admire an artist who knows their branding and commits to it every step of the way. Ever since stepping out on her own to become a DJ in 2018, Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon (or HYO) has become K-pop’s resident EDM queen, showcasing different styles of dance music across the spectrum. In her latest release, “MOVEURBODY,” the second-gen idol combines Brazilian Phonk with fast-paced techno beats, creating a hypnotic rave banger that’s as relentless as it is infectious. If there's one thing HYO is going to do, it’s getting her audience on their feet and straight to the dance floor.

TWS x 24kGoldn - “YOU LIKE IT I LOVE IT”

Ahead of their comeback scheduled for April, TWS members Dohoon, Jihoon, and Kyungmin collaborate with U.S. artist 24kGoldn for the bouncy pop single, “YOU LIKE IT I LOVE IT.” While the match-up may seem like an unlikely pairing at first glance, the result washes away any doubts, with the members’ airy voices contrasting perfectly with 24kGoldn’s smooth timbre. The track is part of NHN Bugs’ single project, essential; studio, which focuses on light mood music to help brighten spirits. Between the grit of the guitar and the breezy mid-tempo bounce, “YOU LIKE IT I LOVE IT” makes for an easy-listening experience for those slower, lazier days.

Yuna (ITZY) - “Ice Cream”

Following Yeji’s solo debut in 2025, fellow ITZY member Yuna embarks on her own solo endeavor with “Ice Cream.” In this delightfully sweet synth-powered track, Yuna likens the feeling of love and happiness to eating ice cream: fleeting and momentary. Still, when you embrace every second of it without overthinking, it’s fulfilling and satisfying in the end. As the youngest member of ITZY, Yuna’s playful energy shines throughout as she delivers earworm-worthy lyrics of “I wanna be your ice cream” – enticing enough to make listeners crave more.

P1Harmony - “L.O.Y.L.”

Barely a week after dropping their latest title track, “UNIQUE,” P1Harmony treats fans to a music video and special performance of one of the album’s better B-sides, “L.O.Y.L.” Compared to the Brazilian funk influence of its lead single, “L.O.Y.L.” is definitely more experimental in its production while maintaining the group’s affinity for pop/R&B flair. While its first 55 seconds are filled with dreamy and ethereal synths and twinkles, the surprising switch-up afterward turns the track on its head as the crunchy bass kicks in and changes the entire atmosphere. If anything, “L.O.Y.L.” reaffirms P1Harmony’s dedication to playing with different sounds without losing its core style.

xikers - “DELULU”

Coming in with another subunit release is xikers members Minjae, Sumin, and Yechan with the hip-hop track, “DELULU.” In this powerful and vivacious anthem, the rap-focused trio unleashes their wild sides and delivers some of their most technically impressive verses yet. As many online fans already know, “delulu” is short for “delusional,” which the members excitedly chant throughout the track’s main hook. In true xikers fashion, “DELULU” is nothing short of fun and explosive, allowing each rapper’s cadence and flow to shine before coming together and bouncing off each other’s energies like magnets.
