Chuu Announces Debut Studio Album ‘XO, My Cyberlove,’ Out January 7

Chuu is opening 2026 with a clear statement. The singer has announced her debut studio album, XO, My Cyberlove, due out January 7, marking the first full-length release of her solo career.

The project was first hinted at in late November, when ATRP confirmed that Chuu was preparing a January comeback built around a full album rather than another mini release. That promise became tangible on December 15, when the first teaser for XO, My Cyberlove dropped, formally introducing the album’s title and release date.

While details around the tracklist and sound remain under wraps, the move to a full-length record feels deliberate. Chuu’s solo catalogue has been shifting with each release. Only Cry In The Rain, which arrived in April 2025, was a clear example of that turn. The record leaned into softer pop textures, with the title track in particular stepping away from the upbeat tone many associate with her, favouring something more exposed and restrained.

XO, My Cyberlove suggests an expansion of that, rather than a reset. A studio album offers room to build narrative and contrast in a way shorter formats rarely allow. Launching a full album at the very start of the year positions Chuu not as a mid-cycle return, but as one of the first voices to define the shape of 2026’s solo landscape.

For an artist whose post-group career has been closely watched, the decision to lead the year with a full-length release signals confidence. It suggests an artist no longer proving viability, but consolidating identity.

Further information on XO, My Cyberlove is expected to roll out ahead of its January 7 release.
