ITZY’s CHAERYEONG Announces Solo Debut, ‘Lovesick’
by Isabel Miller

CHAERYEONG of ITZY has announced that she will be making her solo debut on November 9 with the first mini album Lovesick.
An official trailer was uploaded to the ITZY and JYP Entertainment YouTube channels on October 18 and establishes the narrative and visual imagery making up the album’s concept. It follows CHAERYEONG as she goes from being dejected and frustrated about her life and love to falling in love unexpectedly. Each scene takes place within an animated physical copy of Lovesick, pages turning and mimicking the progression of a story. Throughout, there is one key tagline: “A story about a girl who never cared about love. Until she fell in love.”
The trailer promises a preppy, romantic, almost fairytale-esc concept, matching the sweet personality and image that CHAERYEONG herself possesses – making it perfect for her solo debut.
After the release of the video a tracklist poster was shared on social media. Lovesick will consist of four songs: title track “Lovesick,” “Moonlit Club,” “Scent,” and “Favorite Reason.” The latter, notably, lists CHAERYEONG as a lyricist. “Favorite Reason” will be the third song that CHAERYEONG has contributed to throughout her career as a member of ITZY, with previous contributions to her solo song “Mine” in 2024 and the 2025 group track “FOCUS.” To make another contribution within her official solo debut adds a personal touch to its message.

Fans have noted the sheer number of recognisable songwriters and producers also listed on the tracklist. “Moonlit Club” was produced by singer and producer ADORA, who is known for extensive work within the discographies of BTS and TXT. It was written by a member of the ARTiffect Music collective, as was “Favorite Reason,” a group of lyricists known for work with NMIXX, Red Velvet, ZEROBASEONE and more. 153/Joombas as a collective also have extensive credits, as do NiNE. Overall, this tracklist promises that Lovesick has a lot of expertise and experience behind it – suggesting that we may have more hits on the way.
CHAERYEONG debuted as a member of ITZY in 2019 with the lead single “DALLA DALLA.” Since then, the five-piece have released 12 Korean mini albums, seeing success with popular early songs like “WANNABE,” “LOCO,” “Not Shy” and “SNEAKERS” and later hits like “CAKE,” "Untouchable," “Girls Will Be Girls” and “TUNNEL VISION.” In recent years, members YEJI and YUNA have made their solo debuts alongside group activities – YEJI in March 2025 with Air, YUNA in March 2026 with Ice Cream – and both received high praise. Now, CHAERYEONG is following suit.
With seven years of experience behind her, a stacked tracklist, and a strong visual identity both within the album and built up over the years by CHAERYEONG herself, Lovesick is likely to draw attention.
CHAERYEONG’s Lovesick will be released on November 9, with an English version of the title track “Lovesick” coming out on November 13.
