BLACKPINK’s Rosé Earns Guinness World Record Never Achieved Before In K-Pop

BLACKPINK‘s Rosé has wowed fans with her success once again after earning a new Guinness World Records achievement never seen before in K-Pop, making her a five-time world record holder!

This week, Guinness World Records announced that Rosé is now the first K-Pop artist to reach number one on the Apple Music Top 100 Global Chart. This marks confirmation of the record she broke on October 24 last year, topping the chart with her hit song “APT.” with Bruno Mars

So, it comes as little surprise that the track has earned the star yet another Guinness World Record. Rosé has held multiple records with BLACKPINK, achieving her first solo record when she became the first artist to top the Billboard Global chart as both a soloist and a member of a group. That same year, in 2021, she also broke the then-record for the most-viewed K-Pop music video in 24 hours, beating out PSY‘s 2013 “Gentleman” record with 41.6 million views.

Her new album Rosie then picked up the Guinness World Record for the highest-charting female K-Pop album on the Billboard 200, debuting at number three. Now, just weeks into 2025, she’s already on her second record of the year — the first being her feat as the first female K-Pop act to enter the Billboard Radio Songs Top 10 chart. Her new Apple Music record now marks the third for Rosie alone, and there’s every chance she’ll continue to rack up more.
Congratulations, Rosé!
