BE BOYS: OAK Company’s First Group Debuts With Mischief, Charm, and Heart
by Hasan Beyaz

There’s a new name entering K-pop’s rookie ranks — and they’re not coming quietly.
BE BOYS, the debut boy group from OAK Company, officially launched on June 18 with their first mini-album BE:1. Comprising six members — Yoon Seo, Koo Hyun, Min Joon, Hak Seong, Takuma, and Won Cheon — the group introduces themselves with a concept that feels equal parts playful and punkish.
Early teaser photos show the members styled in monochrome looks with disheveled edges: scraped knees, band-aids, and a defiant glint in their eyes. The mood is less polished idol, more streetwise schoolboy — capturing the kind of youthful chaos that doesn’t ask for permission to be seen.
The visuals mark the beginning of what BE BOYS are calling their narrative “chapter one,” kicking off a wider worldbuilding arc for the group. Their title track, “I’M SO SORRY, BUT I LOVE YOU,” leans into funky dance-pop, chronicling the kind of messy, impulsive love that can’t quite be bottled up. The full project features four songs, including “If I Ain’t Got You,” “CLOVER,” and “BE There,” balancing emotion with edge.
While this is their official debut, many of the members are already familiar to survival show audiences. Takuma, Hak Seong, and Won Cheon appeared on KBS2’s Make Mate One, Yoon Seo competed on Mnet’s Build Up, and Koo Hyun featured on both Boy Fantasy Season 2 and FAN PICK — giving the group a pre-debut presence that’s already sparked curiosity among fans.
If BE BOYS’ first impression is anything to go by, they plan to do it with heart, humour, and just the right amount of trouble.
