Today, we are unboxing the ATEEZ Golden Hour : Part 5 CDP version release. This version was originally released exclusively via MAKESTAR on 26th June 2026, alongside a limited photocard lucky draw event, for ₩164,800/$138.46. This version consists of a sizable outbox, all member photocard set, lyric book, CD and portable CD player manufactured by IRIVER. It features the same tracks as the regular version of the album: BAD, MAMACITA, TOXIN’, Fallin’ and Body.

On first look, this album is impressively large – which is of course to be expected from a CDP version. It is eye-catching and has a distinctive colour scheme of cool icy greys and bold neon pink. Much like ATEEZ themselves, it demands your attention. The outbox is a smooth matte finish, with a high quality feel. It feels quintessentially ATEEZ, with perplexing phrases dotted around the box.

The lid slides off easily, revealing the components inside. You’ll find sitting at the top of the box: the all-Korean CDP instruction book, lyric book with lyrics and credits for each track, and the group photocard set – with selfies taken on the set of the music video for the title track “BAD”. Interestingly, there is no exclusive concept photography of the ATEEZ members used in this version's booklet, or anywhere else in the album. However, it is refreshing to see a complete member set of photocards when 1 or 2 random inclusions are the norm.

Underneath these, you’ll find the CD player, which can be a little fiddly to remove from the blister pack. The CD player has an almost completely transparent casing, with an LCD screen. You can see the disc and intricate electrical elements in their entirety, a unique aesthetically pleasing design choice and a fun way to view and enjoy your physical CD collection. There is a microSD slot, which means you can also use the player without the need for a physical CD – a modern twist to the nostalgia of carrying around a portable CD player. You can connect wired headphones, or listen via Bluetooth. This CDP definitely has all the options covered.

Once powered on, the LCD screen flashes with the Sopro – an integral piece of ATEEZ lore – and then the signature “ATEEZ” logo. It has a fairly simple interface, showing the track number and run time. You can control volume and EQ mode, skip, shuffle and repeat tracks using the player's integrated buttons. A standout feature is the bright LED ring that surrounds and illuminates the disc, which can be turned off or on by holding the play button for a few seconds.

Overall, the outbox and CDP feel sturdy and well-made, but other than the OT8 photocard set, the inclusions are limited; the expected additions of a poster or photobook are not included. It could have benefitted zfrom a display stand, or a feature that allows it to take pride of place in your collection. Ultimately, an ATEEZ themed portable CD player is certainly an impressive addition to any ATINY’s collection.
