Are these overzealous parents misusing their workplace connections for I-Land 2?

Reports have surfaced online of overzealous parents using company message boards and chat apps to pester co-workers and employees into voting for their children. Mnet and WAKEONE’s latest survival program, I-Land 2: N/a, requires audience participation to select which participants move on from round to round.

A leaked message shared with ALLKPOP reads:

[General Affairs] Urgent Notice to All Employees

Greetings to all our beloved employees. This is Chief *** of General Affairs. The oldest daughter, Ms. ***, of our respected President *** is currently participating on the Mnet and WAKEONE idol audition program, 'I-Land 2'. All employees, please cast your vote for Ms. *** for her continued participation on this program.

Is it proper to leverage workplace networks like this? Or is this an instance of gaming the system so their child can succeed? If the Chief of General Affairs is asking everyone to vote, it may put undue pressure on employees to comply out of fear for their livelihoods. In our opinion, it’s not a great look.
