Mirrorball Music’s SUHYNN (수흰) Makes Her Debut

Mirrorball Music is the largest indie music label and distributor in South Korea. They’re amazing to follow, featuring styles and genres most major K-pop labels don’t push on an international scale. One of their artists, SUHYNN, made her debut this week, and we’re in love with her folk ballad sound. 

 

 

Featuring picked acoustic guitar and vocals set in a washy, roomy space, her song “Never Have I Said I'm Sorry” starts as a quaint and charming number before dropping into a chorus with a smart chord progression that lends weight to the emotional core of the piece. It’s not a flashy number by any means – but it stands as a charmingly stark contrast to the hyper production we’ve grown accustomed to in the K-pop space.
