MARK of NCT Drops Jaw-Dropping Solo Debut Concept Photos!
Bucks up NCT stans. SM Entertainment has finally released MARK’s first solo single. His official debut is entitled 200. The A-side is the single itself, and the B-side is “200 (Minhyung’s Version).”
The A-side opens with heavy pop punk vibes before dropping into full 2020’s hyper pop. Thuddy laser beam sub kicks and busy hi hats abound as MARK showcases his effortless blend of raps and vocals. His lyrics are on point as well.
The lyrics are showcased beautifully in “Minhyung’s Version.” Stripped back and slowed down, the whole thing is far more focused on melody. Vocal doubles and harmonies really flesh out the sonic space. It’s really cool to hear the two versions.
The concept photos for the record reflect the two sides of this single. In half of them, a casual MARK listens to his headphones, dreaming big dreams and writing sticky notes to himself on how to soar. It feels like “Minhyung’s Version.” The other photos with him in makeshift pads and holding a football helmet feel far more like the original version of “200.” Gritty, unpolished. It’s a really cool concept.
