Watch the Moment when BLACKPINK's Rosé and Lisa revealed how they became friends

BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Lisa, the group’s two younger members, have always shared a close friendship. Known as "ChaeLisa" (a blend of their names, Chaeyoung and Lalisa), the girls recounted their journey to friendship in a clip from BLACKPINK's Netflix documentary Light Up The Sky, released a couple of years ago.

 

Lisa recalled her first impression of Rosé, which made the "APT" singer laugh. Jokingly, Lisa said that when she first saw Rosé, she felt like her true competition had arrived, to which Rosé playfully responded that she was just intimidated by everyone. Both girls eventually found comfort and safety in each other, especially since they were both foreigners in Seoul at the time. While Lisa is Thai, Rosé, although Korean, was born and raised in Australia and felt unfamiliar with Korean culture.

The "MONEY" singer shared her feelings of loneliness in Seoul and how they supported and cared for each other, leading to their strong friendship. “We became like two peas in a pod,” she said of her bond with Rosé. BLINKs are eagerly hoping for a duet between Rosé and Lisa in the future.
