SHINee's Minho to Attend Paris Olympics as First “Olympic Friend”

SHINee's Minho is set to attend the 33rd Paris Olympics as an “Olympic Friend,” SM Entertainment announced on July 24 KST. The prestigious role, created by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), will see Minho witnessing various events and supporting Korean athletes while immersing himself in the vibrant atmosphere alongside spectators.

Minho holds the unique distinction of being the first individual worldwide to be appointed as an “Olympic Friend.” This initiative by the IOC aims to engage celebrities in promoting Olympic values, a role that aligns with Minho's dedication to sports and international goodwill.

Previously, Minho has been actively involved in Olympic-related activities. He served as a torchbearer for the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games in Chuncheon and interacted with luge athletes, showcasing his commitment to the Olympic movement.
