Feisty grunge-pop aesthetics; Check out MEOVV’s introduction photos

THEBLACKLABEL which is home to the likes of Jeon Somi, Rose, Taeyang just introduced a new girl group a few weeks ago. Named MEOVV, this five-member girl group made its debut on September 6 with the single “Meow.” The members were introduced in a series of concept teasers, profile photos and short character sketch teaser videos. The concept teasers featured a close-up black and white shot of just the members’ blinking eyes. Then, each member was introduced with their profile photos. Just like a cat that can make an innocent face and yet outsmart anyone around them, the members sport this duality too. The short video teasers paint a character sketch for each members’ story for this group.

 

Lastly, the group’s official logo was also revealed. The logo shows a black and white fur kitten paw with its claws out. Each pointed nail has a charm attached to it, spelling the group’s name and a heart. The image shows white scratch marks from right to left, signaling a feisty kitten that just clawed onto something. There is a grunge-pop vibe to the image as we also find piercings and rad tattoo signs on the nails. The members’ introductory pictures also give the same telltale signs of a mix of grunge, rock, retro, and a GenZ vibe - something that would resonate with the young audience of today.
