When the Australia-based AO crew's dance cover of SuperM's iconic title track "Jopping" appeared in my YouTube feed, it filled me with nostalgia, reminding me of the days when I couldn’t stop listening to this song on repeat.
For those unfamiliar, SM Entertainment formed an Avengers-style group called SuperM, featuring some of the biggest K-pop idols from their roster, including SHINee's Taemin, EXO's Kai and Baekhyun, NCT 127's Mark and Taeyong, Wavy's Ten, and now former NCT member Lucas.

SuperM debuted with their self-titled EP and the now-iconic title track "Jopping," which blends electro-pop, hip-hop, and dance-pop with the quintessential K-pop aesthetic. The AO crew, composed of male and female dancers of diverse ethnicities and dressed in monochrome colors, delivered a magnetic one-take dance cover of "Jopping" in a semi-crowded marketplace at night.
They showcased top-notch choreography, fierce posturing, distinctive style, and flawless rap and vocals. In the video description, AO crew mentioned that, due to scheduling conflicts, the members had to learn the choreography as quickly as possible to deliver the dance cover in a short timeframe. Regardless, their brilliant performance took me right back to the excitement of the original track.
