Daily Non-K-pop Spotlight: “Remember Summer Days” by Night Tempo and Anri

Self described as a “retro culture curator,” Night Tempo takes great delight in remixing and repackaging 1980s East Asian music and sharing it to his fans and followers. Unearthing City Pop gems from the 80s and giving them new life is his superpower, as evidenced by this slick remix of “Remember Summer Days” by world renowned artist, composer, lyricist, and producer Anri, who debuted in 1978.

We love this slightly more uptempo rendition of her classic track. The side chaining is insane, and it really helps the unbeatable bass line cut and have space to shine. It’s a fun new way to experience a classic.
