Daily Non-K-pop Spotlight: “My Hair is Green” by 015B and youra

There are few joys in life as good as a song that makes you want to get up and move. Thankfully 015B and youra have provided us with “My Hair is Green” to remind us of that.

The track opens with a teaser of the explosive energy to come before stripping back into a more subtle bass groove with simple vocals and otherwise minimal production, but once the chorus comes, it’s time to dance! A borderline EDM snare riser pushes the momentum into a catchy chorus fueled by the total groove that can only come from inclusion of a bari sax. The guitar is wide and supportive, but also plays a key part in keeping the track moving.

One of our favorite parts is the end, where all instrumentation cuts out, leaving delay and reverb heavy vocal harmonies to help fade this party out. It’s a very quick three minutes, but it’s a full-on good time from start to finish.
