Daily Non-K-pop Spotlight: “crazy” by yooji
著者: yooji

This song is like if pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo covered the California surf-rock band almost monday. Quirky guitar tones, chorus-effected keyboards, breezy melodies, and laid back drum beats abound, but the verses are delivered through sing-talking. It gives the same IDGAF vibes that Olivia Rodrigo does, but with slightly less edge.

Part of yooji’s allure is her ability to use pleasant vocal tones and refreshing sounds to mask dark lyrical themes. It’s a great blend of music and lyrics that has a lot of depth while still remaining accessible. The English lyrics make the song even more accessible. This could end up being an international hit if things go the way they should.
