BTS's Suga to Face Police Questioning Over Electric Scooter DUI Incident

BTS member Suga is expected to be summoned by police for questioning following allegations of riding an electric scooter while intoxicated. On August 11, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul confirmed that they are coordinating with Suga to arrange a date for his formal questioning. The investigation will focus on the details of the incident, including the level of alcohol he had consumed.
The incident took place on the evening of August 6, when Suga reportedly fell off an electric scooter near his home in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu. A patrolling officer discovered him and conducted a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.227%, far exceeding the legal limit for license revocation, set at 0.08%.

At the time, the police did not realize that Suga was a member of BTS. Due to his state of intoxication, they were unable to carry out a full investigation, limiting their actions to the breathalyzer test before allowing him to return home. Now, the police plan to summon Suga for further questioning to gather a formal statement and more information about the incident.
This upcoming questioning will be a key step in the investigation, as the police seek to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine the appropriate next steps.
