At the 2019 Mnet Asia Music Awards in Japan, J.Y. Park (Park Jin Young), the head and founder of JYP Entertainment, performed a duet with MAMAMOO's Hwasa on the track "Don’t Leave Me." Near the end of their performance, Hwasa sat on J.Y. Park's lap as part of the choreography, and the camera captured Jackson from GOT7’s shocked reaction perfectly. His priceless response went viral, prompting laughter from fellow K-pop stars like BTS and ITZY.

J.Y. Park jokingly asked Jackson if he had done something wrong again, to which Jackson later clarified on Instagram that he was simply surprised by the bold, plastic-style pants worn by Hwasa and J.Y. Park, and it wasn’t the dance itself that left him stunned.
