Self-producing DKB preps a comeback in the form of “Urban Ride”

It’s likely the fact that I’m one of the few on staff here at KPOPWORLD that doesn’t speak Korean, but I have a really hard time understanding the meanings behind K-pop group names. Something is clearly getting lost in translation, and most times I’m left perplexed. But not with DKB. Apparently it’s short for Dark Brown Eyes (the “Eyes” part didn’t make it into the abbreviation I guess).
The group chose the name to honor their Korean-ness, boldly stating that those with brown eyes “will change the world.”
It’s objectively badass.
Pair a really cool name and name meaning with the fact that they’re a self-producing group whose music goes hard, and you’ve got one American who’s absolutely stoked for their next comeback. Entitled Urban Ride, it’s DKB’s first EP since 2023’s HIP.
Urban Ride – the group’s 8th EP – will drop on July 17 at 6 PM KST. “Flirting X” is the confirmed lead single for the album, featuring composition and lyrical work from E-chan and choreography by all 8 members.

We’re halfway into the promotion schedule, but be sure to check the schedule out below and follow along for more updates ahead of the debut. You can check it out while listening to “What The Hell,” which is my personal favorite from HIP.
