Sanha draws a pensive portrait of his thoughts with "DIVE" MV

ASTRO's youngest member, Sanha, made his solo debut with the EP DUSK, featuring the melancholic title track "DIVE." In this song, Sanha dives deep into the recesses of his mind and heart, confronting his overwhelming emotions. It's hard not to see "DIVE" as a tribute to Sanha's friend and ASTRO bandmate, the late Moonbin, who tragically passed away last year.

 

For those unfamiliar, Moonbin and Sanha were ASTRO's first official subunit and had released three mini-albums together before Moonbin's untimely death. In "DIVE," Sanha's voice is filled with a palpable sense of hurt and pain, as the lyrics paint a pensive and introspective portrait of the storm of emotions he struggles to process and suppress.

 

 

Lines like "Sharply etched my lonely memories embrace the shadowed sun, lay in the darkness, flowing in reverse" and "I know that you loved me" resonate deeply, touching on the loss and lingering grief that many can relate to. "DIVE" is a song for those in need of a good cry or a comforting, tight hug.
