Park Ji-hoon: Silver Screen Powerhouse, Musical Mastermind

Park Ji-hoon, born on May 29, 1999, has found a perfect blend of success as both a singer and actor. He first got noticed as a child actor and ad model, popping up in musicals and TV dramas from a young age. His family moved to Seoul at seven and graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul, majoring in broadcasting arts, and continued his studies in theater at Chung-Ang University. His background in performing arts really laid the groundwork for his dynamic career in entertainment.

But Park’s real breakout moment came in 2017 on the reality show Produce 101 where he finished second. This led to him joining the project boy group Wanna One, which totally skyrocketed his fame and set him up for a stellar solo career.

After Wanna One disbanded in December 2018, Park Ji-hoon didn’t waste any time. He launched his solo career with Maroo Entertainment and dropped his debut EP, O'Clock, in March 2019. The lead single "L.O.V.E" was an instant hit, even snagging his first solo music show win on KBS Music Bank. Park also jumped back into acting, starring in JTBC’s historical drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency. The show got rave reviews and proved Park was a force to be reckoned with in both music and acting.
In 2020, Park Ji-hoon kept the momentum going with his third EP, The W, and his first studio album, Message. He also starred in the web drama Love Revolution, based on a popular webtoon. The drama was a huge hit, racking up views and boosting Park’s popularity even more. His involvement in the drama’s soundtrack showcased his versatility and proved he could crush it in both acting and singing.

Recently, Park’s been slaying with even more high-profile projects. In 2021, he led the KBS college drama At a Distance, Spring Is Green, and in 2022, he starred in the k-drama Weak Hero Class 1. His performance as Yeon Si-eun got massive praise, showing off a whole new side of his acting chops. Park Ji-hoon’s ability to dominate in both the music and acting scenes, along with his knack for taking on diverse roles, makes him a standout star in the K-pop and Korean entertainment world.
