Cross-group K-pop idol friendships are rare and truly precious, especially when the idols are contemporaries from different agencies. However, NCTzens and CARATs know about the warm and wonderful bond between SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan and NCT's Taeyong. Both idols are the same age and have been friends for quite some time. With both Jeonghan and Taeyong currently enlisted in the military, we thought it would be interesting to revisit a memorable public moment in their friendship—Jeonghan covering Taeyong's song at SEVENTEEN's fansign.

NCT's leader Taeyong released his sophomore EP TAP, featuring the eponymous title track, in February this year as a pre-enlistment gift for NCTzens, which was unanimously adored by the group's fans. It seems Jeonghan loved "Tap" too, as he delivered a brief yet stunning cover of the song at their fan meeting titled ‘SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND’ in July. Jeonghan's bandmates and CARATs cheered loudly and danced along as he showcased his effortless dancing and expressions during his rendition of "Tap."

Both CARATs and NCTzens are hopeful that Jeonghan and Taeyong will reunite after their military service and perform a duet together.
