Watch The Moment: IU's elderly fan overjoyed by concert invitation

It’s no secret that IU, one of Korea's most celebrated singers, has legions of fans worldwide, including BTS' JungKook and many international admirers. However, when Uaenas (her fandom) discovered that an elderly man named "Zev Does KDrama" is also a fan of IU, it took both her and the internet by surprise.

 

Despite the language barrier, Grandpa Uaena, as IU's fans affectionately call him, creates wholesome reaction videos to her music. In February, IU officially invited him to the U.S. leg of her world tour, sending a personalized message and tickets through her agency.

Grandpa Uaena posted a brief video of his joyous reaction to the concert invitation, with fans sharing his happiness in the comments section. Notably, Grandpa Uaena also had the chance to meet IU backstage after her concert.
