NMIXX presents a striking blend of goth and grunge in their "See That" MV

Most K-pop girl groups rarely venture into the 'dark space,' and few do it as effectively as NMIXX do on their title track from their latest mini-album Fe3O4: Stick Out, "See That.” The music video begins in a grimy garage filled with broken cars, greasy oil stains, and tools, which play a pivotal role, almost becoming a character in their own right.

The lyrics are bold, empowering, and perfectly complement the goth and grunge aesthetics of "See That." Lines like “Who cares, not your stereotype. Break it, the me you've known” are cleverly crafted. Reading between the lines, the song subtly addresses the rise of deepfake and AI-driven crimes proliferating in South Korea in recent months. Verses such as “Wuh, there are so many weirdos (See That?) All kinds of weirdos” seems to hint at the perverts tarnishing the dignity and honor of the affected women by creating inappropriate content with this technology.

Despite this, NMIXX is determined to rise above the hate and oppression, breaking free from negativity and misogyny to become their best selves. With lines like “Stay awake you cannot hold us down, fly away to the sky above. Let out the words inside your heart, voice up,” NMIXX delivers their message loud and clear.
