Min Hee Jin appears on TV. HYBE responds.

Min Hee Jin, the CEO of NewJeans’ embattled label ADOR, made a significant move towards reconciliation with HYBE during a press conference held at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, yesterday. Following the conference, she appeared on 'News 9' where she expressed her optimism about the situation, contrasting it with her previous press appearances. She said that the recent court verdict had liberated her to speak more candidly about the circumstances.

When questioned about HYBE's accusations regarding her alleged attempt to take NewJeans with her, Min Hee Jin denied the claims. She emphasized that any decision concerning NewJeans would have been within HYBE's purview, rendering the notion of her trying to seize control baseless.

Addressing NewJeans' future, Min Hee Jin disclosed that pre-existing plans, including the release of their debut single in Japan and activities at the Tokyo Dome, would proceed as scheduled. However, beyond these commitments there was a lot of uncertainty – especially given the unfolding developments following a recent board meeting.

Despite her shot at fixing things with her employer, reports suggest that HYBE remains adamant about its position. A HYBE representative affirmed their intent to pursue resolution through police investigations or legal avenues rather than opting for reconciliation. This stance underscores the deep-seated divide between the two entities amid ongoing legal disputes.

HYBE's efforts to terminate Min Hee Jin's CEO position at ADOR have faced legal obstacles. While an injunction prevents her dismissal without substantial compensation, HYBE has reshuffled ADOR's board of executives to assert control over the subsidiary. These developments underscore the protracted legal and managerial tug-of-war between Min Hee Jin and HYBE, casting a shadow over the prospect of reconciliation in the foreseeable future.
