KATSEYE Drop Explosive “Gnarly” Remixes con Ice Spice, Lara, Lancey Foux y Slush Puppy

Just weeks after the original “Gnarly” set the internet on fire, KATSEYE are back with two blistering new remixes – and they’ve brought Ice Spice, Lancey Foux, Slush Puppy, and group member Lara along for the ride.

Released today via HYBE x Geffen Records, the remixes arrive as “Gnarly” surpasses 100 million global streams – a staggering milestone for a group barely a year into their career. It’s a clear signal that KATSEYE’s brand of risky maximalist chaos is resonating.

The Ice Spice remix, already trending on socials, infuses the industrial-pop monster with a club-fuelled, bass-heavy pulse and Ice’s signature cool-girl flow. The second remix – featuring Lancey Foux, Slush Puppy, and KATSEYE’s own Lara – takes the track in a more experimental, synth-drenched direction, stretching “Gnarly” into something even more unhinged and rave-ready.

The original single, produced by HYBE founder “hitman” Bang, Slow Rabbit, Tim Randolph and Pink Slip, was polarising by design: an over-the-top, hyperpop-laced anthem that sounded more like a dare than a debut. Critics and fans were divided – until they weren’t. As The FADER put it, “This hyperpop doozy has already won over millions.” W Magazine agreed: “‘Gnarly’ tore the internet apart… By the weekend, the song was being declared a genius bit of post-modern pop perfection.”

It’s a fast-moving ascension for the global girl group, who first emerged via The Dream Academy reality program and Netflix’s Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE. With members hailing from the U.S., South Korea, India, Switzerland, the Philippines and beyond, KATSEYE have become a case study in cross-cultural pop — and with these new remixes, they’re proving just how flexible that model can be.

The remixes also serve as a lead-up to the group’s upcoming EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, out June 27. If “Gnarly” was the warning shot, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS promises full-scale impact — a blend of digital overstimulation, girlhood rebellion, and boundary-pushing sonics.

In the meantime, KATSEYE’s presence continues to build: they’re set to perform at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards, and recently locked down partnerships with Glossier and Urban Outfitters.

Love it or hate it, “Gnarly” isn’t just a song anymore – it’s a cultural moment. And with these remixes, KATSEYE proves they know exactly how to ride the wave they’ve created.
