Daily Non-K-pop Spotlight: “I think I love you” by Elephant in a fridge

This song comes from a band with only 68 monthly listeners – and we’re happy to be one of the first fans. Their debut, self-titled EP came out May 23, 2024. The opening track from their debut, “I think I love you” nails the blend of indie pop, rock, and throwback 80s vibes that has been defining Korean indie as of late – but with half time shifts that will make you swoon.
One of the coolest things about this song is that the synth tone that features so prominently throughout isn’t a synth at all – it’s actually heavily processed guitar. We love the lead vocal as well – a soft approach that borders on a dreamy whisper. It’s a criminally underrated song that deserves a lot more attention than it currently has.
