Daily Non-K-pop Spotlight: “H O M E” by HANRORO

Por HANRORO

This is the kind of song that has such a well-executed opening drop that you can’t help but become a fan. The title track from HANRORO’s latest record, “H O M E” opens with clean, lofi guitar and haunting falsetto. A sudden, seismic shift occurs as fuzzed out guitars enter on a beautifully, harmonically minor riff that’s as angsty as it is elegant.

When HANRORO enters, her impassioned vocals sit pleasantly atop clean guitars in the verse before soaring on an infectious pop melody in the chorus. The vocal harmonies are subtle and tucked back in the mix, but they’re incredibly effective at building atmosphere and fleshing everything out.

This is a pop rock gem and has made it into regular rotation in our playlists.
