BLACKPINK's Lisa transports listeners to a dreamy Parisian romance in the ethereal "Moonlit Floor"

It’s quite rare for three members of the same group to release music in the same month, but BLACKPINK has delighted their fans with some incredible songs this month. The best part is that each member is challenging the stereotypes and labels they’ve been associated with for so long. Last month, Lisa released her new single, the romantic and enchanting "Moonlit Floor."
I was a bit surprised by the song choice, as I’ve always linked Lisa to upbeat, energetic hip-hop dance tracks. Swapping out powerful dance moves and robust rhythms for something gentler and sweeter like "Moonlit Floor" was intriguing.

This dance-pop and nu-disco track is the third single from Lisa's upcoming debut studio album and her overall sophomore album. "Moonlit Floor" samples the chorus from Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me," but it has a distinctive Lalisa touch. With long boots, fringed hair, a silky knee-length white dress, and a dreamy backdrop, Lisa delivers ethereal vocals, revealing a new side to the talented dance-rapper-performer we’ve come to know.
The lyrics are charming and romantic, featuring lines like "Green-eyed French boy got me trippin', How your skin is always soft? How your kisses always hit?" and "On that accent off your lips, How your tongue do all those tricks? How you know just where to?"—alluding to the rumored romance making headlines in the tabloids. Ultimately, the song is sure to transport listeners to the enchanting streets of Paris.
