BLACKPINK’s Jisoo to Lead Upcoming Zombie Drama Newtopia on Coupang Play

Coupang Play has announced that Jisoo from BLACKPINK will be taking a leading role in its highly anticipated zombie drama Newtopia. This thrilling series will showcase Jisoo's talent as she portrays Kang Young Joo, a determined young woman navigating a zombie-infested Seoul to reunite with her boyfriend.

Jisoo, who received acclaim for her impressive acting debut in Snowdrop, will play Kang Young Joo, a recent engineering school graduate who has just started her first job. Her character's journey will be filled with suspense and emotional depth as she braves the dangers of a city overrun by zombies to find her love, Jae Yoon.

The series also stars Park Jung Min as Lee Jae Yoon, a soldier in the military feeling insecure about the future. As the zombie outbreak unfolds, Jae Yoon and Young Joo are forced to run towards each other, showcasing their determination and resilience amidst the chaos.

Newly released stills from Newtopia provide a glimpse into the intense atmosphere of the drama. One image captures Jae Yoon, played by Park Jung Min, looking shocked and breathless as he encounters the outbreak.
